Hi, I’m Roxy!

I’m a personal trainer, nutrition coach, and fellow human being. I do everything with a healthy dose of optimism - served with a little side dish of tough love. My goal is to help women learn to appreciate and feel good in their bodies in the here and now while working on reaching their fullest potential.

When I first met my now-husband, he said to me, “You’re really weird, and I mean that as the highest form of a compliment.” He just gets me.

Because I am a weirdo. Both quirky, and compassionate. I prioritize having fun and feeling good and I do my best to spread that vibe everywhere I go.

And that includes my coaching and training programs. Sometimes we get so caught up in sets and reps and macros and the weight on the scale that we forget to actually enjoy ourselves. To marvel at the full range of potential that can be found within each and every one of our bodies. To feel grateful for the things we are able to do now, instead of feeling bad about the things we used to be able to do or haven’t learned how to do yet. To celebrate the tiny improvements that happen every time we practice.

I want to help you discover that. Let me be your hype woman.

My Story

My goal is to make nutrition seem simple. To make exercise feel good. For you to develop a really good relationship with your body. And to have a little fun while doing so!

I’ll be the first to admit that I wasn’t always a great example of this. I weighed over 200lbs by the time I started high school. I’ve gained and lost a significant amount of weight multiple times since then, and struggled with body dysmorphia most of my life. Self-compassion was a foreign language to me.

I used to believe, in my core, that 'fit people' were different from me -- that they had something I could not have. A certain je ne sais pas. I felt held back by my body. Limited. So far behind that there was no way I could ever catch up.

I have spent many years trying to transformed my physical self and my negative thought patterns. I used to think that my body was my biggest problem, but now I see it as a continual solution, a supportive resource, and something that gives me freedom and options.

The thing I want you to understand the most is this: losing weight isn't what changed these things.

Many times I somehow stumbled upon a way to lose weight, but with the doubts, fears, and unsupportive thinking that I had always known it always produced the same end result... I was not able to keep it off. I didn’t trust myself around food. I was constantly switching exercise programs, sure that the next one would be my golden ticket to the perfect body. When I did lose weight, I didn’t feel worthy of my fitter body. Every time I bought a shirt in a size small, it felt like the clothing company must have made a mistake when labeling it.

Losing weight isn't what makes you feel worthy or safe in your body. Getting toned doesn't resolve your issues with your body. Resolving your mental issues with your body is what resolves your physical issues with your body. And as a result, you become a healthier person, inside and out.

You cannot make progress faster than you believe you can. That’s why my coaching process involves breaking down your big goals into small daily practices that add up to massive changes. I call this the snowball effect.

This gives you the time to incorporate these new habits into your sense of identity, and you’ll develop healthy habits that become second nature and last a lifetime. This is what will give you the peace of mind and the results that you’ve been dreaming of.

The internal has to change first. The beliefs and mindset have to change. Your habits and identity need to shift in the direction of becoming the person you dream of becoming.

Are you ready?
